Integrating activities of these projects concern standardization and harmonization of treatment and laboratory research, protocols, data collection, exchange of materials, data and personnel.

Project 14: Stem Cell Transplantation
Major aim is, to synergize and expand forces for HSCT in Europe using European organizations like EBMT, ESH and already existing national transplant and disease specific registries, which will be built into this network with the aim to improve results of HSCT and treatment of leukemia
Project 15: Supportive Care
Aims are the development of European Guidelines for the Prophylaxis and Treatment of Infections in Patients with Leukemia (including conventional chemotherapy, autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation)
Quality of Life and Late Effects
Due to increasing cure rates quality of life and late effects are becoming more and more research objectives of the scientific community - furthermore quality of life and late effects are potential new endpoints for clinical trials. Research in this field helps to optimise trial design and aftercare of the patients.

The objective of the European LeukemiaNet is to integrate the leading leukemia trial groups (CML, AML, ALL, CLL, MDS, CMPD), their interdisciplinary partners (diagnostics, treatment research, registry, guidelines), industry and SMEs across Europe to form a cooperative network for advancements in leukemia-related research and health care and cure.
